Shawn Briggs

Shawn has been married to his wife, Jordan, since January of 2008. They recently had their first child, Cadence, in August of 2011. Beginning in January of 2009 -July of 2011, he began studying full time with both his father (gospel preacher), and West Allen church of Christ in Allen, TX.

He feels very blessed to be working with the congregation at Melrose Drive and is always looking for an opportunity to study with anyone who desires to have a relationship with the Lord. Eddie Caskey

Eddie has been married to his wife, Angie, since March 1990 and they have two children; a daughter, Jaydn and a son, Oren. He spent nine years serving as a Law Enforcement Specialist in the U.S. Air Force. Shortly thereafter, he began preaching the gospel in 1998. In July 2000, his family moved to Alabama to work with the Russellville church of Christ. In 2008 Eddie was awarded a bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management from Athens State University in Athens, Alabama. After nine fruitful years in Russellville, Eddie and his family made the move to begin working with the Melrose Drive congregation in July of 2009. 

Eddie is simply a preacher of the gospel of Jesus Christ and does not hold any special title other than the name, Christian. His work with the congregation here is directed toward telling the lost about the saving grace of God. He also seeks to encourage the children of God to strive diligently for the faith. To accomplish this, Eddie spends his time in study and prayer so that he may effectively preach and teach the word of God, both publicly and from "house to house".
