IF THERE IS NO GOD

What would it be like if there were no God?

If the evolutionist's faith were right after all?

If intelligence actually did come from matter?

NATURAL CONSEQUENCES OF NO GOD

G.K. Chesterton

         "It is often supposed that when people stop believing in God, they believe in nothing.  Alas, it is worse than that.  When they stop believing God, they believe in anything."

If there were no God:

No Just Standard of Authority

* Total subjective judgment

Subjective

1 a : characteristic of or belonging to reality as perceived rather than as independent of mind

* Right and wrong would be based on desire. Therefore right and wrong would vary from one to     the next because we all have different desires.  DESIRE WOULD RULE THE DAY.

* Could not appeal to a higher authority.  There would be none.  If there were no God would we     respect any court or office in the land?

No Superior Authority

* There would be no superior moral standard.

* No superior authority.

* Might makes right.

* The being who possessed the greatest power would rule.

* We would be required to live by the dictates of those with the power.  DICTATORSHIP

No Superior Life

People are animals, animals are people.  There is no difference.

If there is no God.

The standard of right and wrong is determined by self.

Total disregard for the rights and lives of others.

The result:

Abortion - The children have no rights because they have no power and are an inconvenience to                    those who do.

Genocide - The extermination of those who are different.

Murder

Rape

Child molestation

Homosexuality

If we tolerate the above will we tolerate that which follows?

Pedophilia

Bestiality

Necrophilia

But God is!

All scripture is inspired by God

There is a superior will.

Ephesians 5:17 Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is.

It is expressed in ...

... the World

Romans 1:18-20 18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, 19 because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. 20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse,

... His word

1 Corinthians 2:9-11 9 But as it is written: "Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him." 10 But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. 11 For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. (NKJ)

The consequence of relying on this information

Galatians 5:22-23 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. (NKJ)

 THE TRUTH IS THAT THERE IS NO GOD IN LIVES OF MANY

BUT THERE IS IN THE LIVES OF SOME

And so wickedness & selfishness is restrained to an extent.

Some souls will be saved.
